My comments: The sister piece to Ardent, Lambent is part of a candlelit series done on Colourfix paper. In this case, it was red toned paper - which was very difficult to darken. In many places I used Cool Gray 90 for the darkest darks. The skin tones are an usual mix of purples, red, and oranges. In particular the heavy Neon Orange used on the arms was a bit of a leap - but I liked it - considering the overall tone of the picture. The inclusion of the candles gives the scene a bit of a spa feeling - whose mood - serenity - is exactly what I was aiming for with this peace.
