Poll - CPSA 2007 Entry

I had this post in my sidebar, but I’m moving it to the actual Poll category to make it a little easier to see. I’ve whittled it down to four choices for this year’s CPSA 2007 International Show entries (I can choose two). Please vote on which picture is your first choice to help me choose which to submit. Thanks!

Update: Since Blue Nude was accepted in the Explore This! show, I cannot submit it to the Interntional show - so please vote on either Haven, Bend, or Lull only.

    Hello Shawn.

Great website!!! And beautiful pieces. My name is Kare Williams, I also got a piece into the explore this show. I’m thrilled, it’s my first show, and my second drawing. I’m a complete newby, and I would love to pick your brain about marketing, web sites etc.. Hope to see you in CA.

    Sincerely Kare Williams

    Hi Kare-

Thanks, and congrats on the Explore This show! Do you have a website? I’ll add a link from mine. If not (and you’re thinking of making one), I used Wordpress for this site. I takes a little bit of effort to get it set up the way you like, but its easy to add updates. Best of all, it’s free.

Hello again, no I do not have a website yet. I’ve just begun my art career and am working on creating a body of work that I can start marketing, and hopefully find a gallery or two. Thank you for your advice I will look into Wordpress. If it is free I’m assuming that it requires a good deal of work on your own, I don’t mind the work I’m just not sure I have the computer skills to pull it off. Are you going to be attending the Explore This show? Hopefully I will see you there at the Awards Reception.
    Sincerely Kare Wiliams

I’m probably not going to make it to the show - not sure why they picked Friday @ 7pm….pretty much means losing the day from work (especially to get there from the east coast).

Feel free to drop me an email if you want to talk about getting started with a website, etc. Also, if you’re not already a member of any of the art forums like Scribbletalk or Wetcanvas, check them out. I’ve gotten lots of good advice and tips there - and it’s also a great way to network with colored pencil artists.
